Dedagroup has been managing the Covid-19 emergency with a consistent approach across geographies, starting from Italy, and then extending to the United States (VisiFI) and to Mexico (Dedamex). We have been working with a dedicated team to transform the local guidelines issued by Governments and Health Institutions into protection guidelines for the safety of our employees, customers and business partners.

We adopted a transparent, attentive and responsible approach, opening a direct and participatory communication channel with all our collaborators and implementing a series of specific initiatives for all the Group companies.

 

VisiFI response to the Covid-19 emergency

VisiFI has been monitoring the latest news regarding the Covid-19 outbreak since the World Health Organization declared the novel coronavirus a pandemic. 

November 24, 2020
VisiFI will maintain our current status of allowing voluntary work from the office through December 31, 2020. The office is open for those who are willing or those who need to come in for a specific project. We do ask that you continue to work remotely at least 2 days per week to limit the number of employees in the office. Please coordinate your office attendance with your manager.  Should you experience symptoms or suspect that you have contracted COVID, please contact your manager and/or HR. Managers should report any cases to HR and should ensure the highest level of confidentiality possible. Information for the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act can be found on the Paychex portal.  
As a reminder, any travel requests must be discussed with your manager. Any approved travel will require a signed waiver in addition to documentation of COVID protocol for the site visited.


April 2, 2020
The Federal Government has extended the recommended quarantine period through April 30th. In following the recommended guidelines, VisiFI will require employees to work remotely through at least April 30th. Employees should not report to the office without prior executive consent. All company travel will also remain suspended through April 30th.

March 31, 2020
The company sends an external communication dedicated to help customers to prevent the Covid-19 related fraud attempts, also sharing information and links on how to report scams.

March 27, 2020
VisiFI updates all employees to confirm that the company will continue to require remote work for all employees through the week of March 30th, also announcing that an update about this will be provided on April 3rd. In this communication, VisiFI also reminded to all the employees that the company will continue to suspend all business travel, including local customer site visits, through April 17, 2020. 

March 13, 2020
VisiFI take actions to guarantees the safety of the employees. These actions include:



  • All business travel, including local customer site visits, are suspended through April 17, 2020
  • All Birmingham and Omaha on-site meetings are suspended through April 17, 2020
  • The company immediately implements voluntary temporary remote arrangements for all employees 


VisiFi’s also defines a set of procedures for illness and potential exposures, stating that employees with the below circumstances should not report to work for a minimum of 14 days, and consequently allowing them to remote working during this period: 


  • If you exhibit symptoms of illness while at work, you will be sent home 
  • Do not report to the office if you are ill with virus-like symptoms (cough, fever, difficulty breathing)  
  • Employees caring for family members who exhibit these symptoms  
  • Employees or employees with family members who have traveled to any areas with sustained community transmission domestically, any travel via cruise or to any of the following countries, including layovers or connecting flights: China, Iran, Italy, South Korea Been in contact with anyone infected with COVID-19 

As per managing the customers’ business continuity, VisiFI informs them through a specific communication about the company’s business continuity plan, also opening a direct channel dedicated to collect any additional questions they may have. Dedamex response to the Covid-19 emergency

The second phase of the Covid-19 emergency in Mexico was officially declared by the central Government on March the 31st. Nevertheless, Dedamex followed the guidelines took by Dedagroup at Italian level, starting to take preventive actions in the previous fifteen days.

March 30, 2020
Guadalajara and Durango offices have been closed;
All the business trips, both inside the country and abroad, have been suspended;
At the Durango office, a shift system was introduced to ensure the continuation of the workflow of the call center team for Dedapay debit cards.  To ensure the maintenance of national security measures, only one resource at a time can attend the operating station and at the end of each shift both the room and the work equipment are properly sanitized

March 23, 2020
Remote working is activated for most of the employees working both in the Guadalajara, the Mexico City and the Durango offices.
All the offices are equipped with sanitizing and cleaning devices.
The offices remain open but only for emergencies related to administrative activities.

March 20-23, 2020
The last Italian employees still working in Mexico are repatriated on the weekend of 20-23 March.

Remote work is activated both for employees working in the Mexico City and in the Durango offices. 

March 18, 2020
The majority - 28 out of 30 - employees working in the Guadalajara office are required to work remotely.

 

Dedagroup response to the Covid-19 emergency

March, 3 2021
With the publication of the Prime Ministerial Decree of March 2, 2021, the company renews its invitation to all employees living in critical Regions or Provinces ("red zones") to continue their activities under the agile working regime where possible. All the previous Protocol's indications for preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace remain in place, including the limitation of business travels and the setting of remote training courses.These new directions are also effective for those who haven't signed an agile work contract or have signed an agreement providing an office presence of at least one day of the week.


November, 5 2020
Following the Italian Prime Minister’s Decree issued on November 3, 2020, the company invites the employees living in critical regions (classified as “maximum gravity” or “high gravity”) to keep working remotely and to avoid all the activities involving gatherings of people, leveraging the available digital meeting tools and limiting national and international business travels to what is strictly necessary. All training sessions are set for remote, performing as well. 

October, 13 2020
Dedagroup informs the employees that it is mandatory to wear a face mask in all company premises in any case it is not possible to work isolated from other colleagues (e.g. single offices).

September, 24-29 - October, 13 2020
Dedagroup organizes remote training sessions for the Managers, in order to share important updates about Dedagroup’s "Protocol to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace". 

August, 31 2020
The company announces the reopening – five days out of five – of the following offices: Torino, Casalecchio di Reno (BO), Cesena, Sinalunga (SI), Roma, Benevento, Catania, Palermo.

July, 23 2020
The company announces the reopening of the Castenaso (BO) offices, starting July 27. 

July, 14 2020
The company announces the partial reopening of the Catania and Palermo offices, starting July 14.

June, 25 2020
The company announces the reopening of the Napoli office, starting June 29. Starting July 7, the Cesena and Sinalunga offices are partially reopened as well. 

June, 18 2020
The company announces the reopening of the Torino office, starting June 23. Since June 22, the Colleretto Giacosa (TO) and Bolzano offices will be reopened as well. 

May, 27 2020
The company announces the reopening of the Milano, Bari and Tortona offices, starting June 3. On the same date day, the company partially reopens (on Tuesdays/Thursdays) the Roma and Casalecchio di Reno offices.

May, 21 2020
Dedagroup shares with all the employees the company’s "Protocol to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace", which has been defined by a specific internal dedicated team, and that the company will be using so  these guidelines to correctly manage the reopening of some of the offices on May 25. 
The company also launches an app – developed internally - through which the managers can monitor the employees’ presence in the offices.

Dedagroup organizes remote training sessions for the Managers, in order to share important information on how to manage the partial reopening of the offices (Phase 2), and to share the company’s "Protocol to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace" as well. 

May, 13 2020
The company informs the employees that starting May 25, Dedagroup will be partially reopening the offices of Trento, Padova, Scandicci (FI), Ravenna, Migliarino Pisano (PI) e Benevento.

April 27, 2020
Following the Italian Prime Minister’s Decree issued on April 26, 2020, Dedagroup launches an internal survey to assess how to organize the Phase 2 of the Covid-19 emergency.

March 25, 2020
The company closed the Padova, the Castenaso (BO), the Napoli and the Bari offices. The only location that is still open in Italy is Trento, that is the Group headquarters.

March 23, 2020
The Group signs an insurance policy in favor of its 1,763 collaborators (the entire Italian workforce), thus ensuring additional assistance for those who should contract Covid-19 and consequently be hospitalized or subjected to intensive care.

March 17, 2020 
The company launches an internal campaign dedicated to collect the stories from our teams about how the daily work and the business as whole have changed because of the Covid-19 emergency. 

March 20, 2020
Dedagroup closes all corporate offices in Italy, except for those in Trento, Padova, Castenaso (BO), Napoli and Bari.

March 14, 2020
On March 14, when the Italian Government signs the regulatory protocol aimed to provide the measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace, the percentage of Dedagroup’s employees working remotely in the national territory is almost 95%.

Dedagroup Public Services joins the digital solidarity initiative launched by the Italian Ministry for Technological Innovation & Digitization.

The Corporate’s guideline are updated to include the extension of the red zones to the whole national territory, as per the the Italian Prime Minister’s Decree issued on March 9, 2020.
Activation of tethering services on all company SIM cards to support employees working remotely. 

March 9, 2020
All the employees living in the red zones as per the Italian Prime Minister’s Decree issued on March 8, 2020, are requested to avoid any business travel within their territories, if not proven by mandatory business needs. The restrictions are extended to the employees living outside the red areas that may have business ongoing in the red areas. 
The company commits to follow the evolution of the decisions about the closure of schools and universities, so to better support employees’ work-life balance.

Definition of a specific procedure aimed to be followed when an employee enters in contact with someone who is ill or when potentially dangerous situations are experienced.

March 6, 2020
Creation of a Decalogue to provide in a unique file all the behavior guidelines to be adopted to contrast to the Covid-19 diffusion. The Decalogue has been delivered through Dedagroup’s intranet and within information points located in all Dedagroup’s offices.

March 5, 2020
Any employee living in the areas identified as critical by the Government (red zones), aren’t allowed to access Dedagroup’s offices for at least 14 days. The same restrictions are extended to external visitors, suppliers, customers and consultants.

February 26, 2020
Daily cleaning service are increased in all Dedagroup’s national offices and sanitization actions are taken.

February 24, 2020
Any employee living in the areas identified as critical by the Government (as per the joint decree issued by the Ministry of Health and by Local Public Bodies in Veneto and Lombardia) are not allowed to access to the offices for at least 14 days.

  • All employees having flu symptoms are invited to immediately contact the public health authorities.All business meetings with external stakeholders are suspended and replaced with remote meetings. 
  • All employees are requested to limit national or international business travels, except for mandatory ones.
  • All employees are invited to work remotely and keep on collaborating through digital tools, such as video-conferencing systems.
  • All on-site training events are suspended.


The company launches an internal information campaign on the main hygiene rules to be adopted to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

February 22, 2020
All employees living in the cities reported as critical as per the Decree of the Ministry of Health and the “Regione Lombardia” are requested to strictly follow the guidelines provided by the public authorities and do not report to the offices until further notice from the company.
