The Co-Innovation Lab is a joint initiative between Dedagroup and Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), a private research institution devoted to excellence in research in numerous disciplines and designated to the role of keeping the Autonomous Province of Trento in the mainstream of European and international research. The Co-Innovation Lab is focused on developing standards, best practices and platforms for the openness and interoperability of data and services (Open Data, Open Services) to enable next generation digital applications.The Co-Innovation Lab is working on joint Research Efforts to develop a common interoperability platform called “Digital Hub”.
The Co-Innovation Lab is co-located with FBK’s “Smart Community Lab” in Trento. The successful candidates will work in the spaces of the Lab.

We are looking for young Java developers for our Co-Innovation Lab team. The candidate will work in a young, dynamic and international team and will participate in the design and development of the software platforms and applications of the Lab, in collaboration with development teams of Dedagroup and FBK.
This position is involved in the full software development lifecycle from requirement review, solution design, coding, unit testing, deployment, documentation. Development in the Lab includes
both server side and back-end services and their client-end (desktop, mobile and omni-channel) counterparts.
The Lab develops in Java within a Microservices architecture using Agile methodology. We are looking for strong commitment to team work and collaborative problem solving.
Typical tasks will include:
● Development of new software components; maintenance and evolution of existing software components and systems
● Collaboration to the design of software components
● Quality assurance and operation of the software
● B.Sc. in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree/relevant experience
● Experience in software development, either server-side (preferably with the J2EE platform) or client-side (Web development, App development)
● Oral and written proficiency in English
● Team work attitude, good communication and relational skills
● M.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent degrees)
● Experience with the technologies adopted by the SC unit for the development of its software platform:
o Web development (HTML5, CSS/SASS, AngularJS)
o Mobile app development (Android, iOS, Cordova/Phonegap)
o Entrerprise Java (JEE, Spring)
o Database management (SQL and No-SQL databases, JPA/Hibernate)
o Development tools and technologies (Git, Maven, Gradle)
● Problem solving and planning skills
